I. Positions

Welcome outstanding talents at home and abroad who are engaged in ultrafast related fields to apply for relevant scientific and research, technology and postdoctoral positions.

II. Conditions and Salaries

1. Age: Researchers should be under 45 years old, and associate researchers should be under 40 years old, and the age limit can be appropriately relaxed for particularly outstanding or in-demand talents.
2. Salary: Agreed salaries will be executed. The minimum annual salary of researchers is 500,000 RMB, the minimum annual salary of associate researchers is 350,000 RMB, the annual salary of post-docs is 300,000-400,000 RMB, and the minimum annual salary of engineers is 250,000 RMB. Salaries for top talents vary from person to person.
3. Form of Staffing: In accordance with specific conditions, you will sign a labor contract with the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (public institution staffing) or the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory (contract management), and you will work in Songshan Lake Hi-tech Zone, Dongguan, Guangdong Province.
4. Housing: Temporary housing is provided for employees, with shuttle bus services available.
5. Ultrafast Laser Technology
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have more than three years of practical experience in picosecond or femtosecond laser research or product development, excellent hands-on skills in experiments, a master's degree or above, and influential and important achievements;
  • 2)You are expected to have considerable expertise in laser technology and laser physics. Those who also possess fundamental mechanical design, circuit design and computer graphics design are preferred;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Engaging in the design and development of ultrafast lasers and devoting to international leading technological innovation and new achievements;
  2. 2)Responsible for the daily management, maintenance and stable operation of ultrafast laser equipment and working with users;
  3. 3)Taking a leading role or participating in the application of relevant projects and writing and collating materials for scientific research.
Attosecond Light Source
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have a research background in the interaction of ultrafast lasers and matter, the experience being the core backbone in conducting the research on the generation and measurement of high-order harmonics and attosecond lasers, a doctoral degree or above, important and influential achievements, and excellent hands-on skills in experiments;
  • 2)You are expected to have considerable expertise in laser technology, atomic-molecular physics and plasma physics, and familiarity with the use of common software for scientific research;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Conducting the construction of devices and scientific research on the generation, measurement and application of attosecond laser pulses, with a commitment to achieving international leading-edge technology and achievements;
  2. 2)Responsible for the daily management, maintenance and stable operation of the attosecond laser device and working with users;
  3. 3)Taking a leading role or participating in the application of relevant projects and writing and collating materials for scientific research.
Ultrafast Science
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have a research background in the interaction between ultrafast lasers and matter, the experience being the core backbone in conducting the research of ultrafast phenomena in physics or chemistry, biology, information and other disciplines, especially the research on the attosecond dynamics, a doctoral degree or above, important and influential achievements, and excellent hands-on skills in experiments and strong theoretical analysis ability.
  • 2)You are expected to have considerable expertise in atomic and molecular physics, solid-state physics and quantum mechanics, and be familiar with the use of common software for scientific research;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Conducting research on ultrafast dynamics of material science under the action of femtosecond and attosecond laser pulses, and being devoted to international leading technological innovation and new achievements;
  2. 2)Taking a leading role or participating in the application of relevant projects and writing and collating materials for scientific research.
Interdiscipline of Ultrafast Laser and Physical Science
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have a research background in ultrafast laser or condensed matter science (including but not limited to ultrafast spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, electron microscopy, electron diffraction, quantum transport, scanning probe, photoelectron microscopy, laser processing, etc.), the experience being the core backbone in conducting ultrafast dynamics-related research, a doctoral degree, important and influential achievements, and excellent hands-on skills in experiments.
  • 2)You are expected to have considerable expertise in solid-state physics, quantum mechanics, laser physics, etc;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Conducting research on ultrafast dynamics of condensed matter science under the action of femtosecond and attosecond laser pulses and being devoted to international leading technological innovation and new achievements;

Theoretical Computing for Ultrafast Science
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have a research background in the interaction between ultrafast lasers and matter, the experience being the core backbone in conducting research on ultrafast dynamics in the fields of physics or chemistry, biology, information and other disciplines, a doctoral degree or above, important and influential achievements, and strong theoretical analysis ability;
  • 2)You are expected to have considerable expertise in solid-state physics, quantum mechanics and laser physics, be familiar with quantum dynamics methods and the use of relevant software for scientific calculations;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Conducting theoretical and computational research on ultrafast dynamics of material science under the action of femtosecond and attosecond laser pulses, participating in the design of ultrafast laser physics experiments and analysis of experimental results, and being devoted to technological innovation and new achievements at the international leading level;

Electronic Engineer
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have more than three years of relevant work experience in electronic technology design, electronic instrument development and electronic precision control, strong hands-on ability, master's degree or above;
  • 2)You are expected to possess professional knowledge of digital circuit technology, analog circuit technology, computer control, automation and control, etc., and be proficient in relevant computer software and hardware;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Engaging in the design, development, testing and maintenance of auxiliary circuits in femtosecond and attosecond laser pulse generation and application devices;
  2. 2)Writing and collating materials related to scientific research and the development of electronic technology.  
Mechanical Engineer
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have more than three years of relevant work experience in mechanical design and precision machining, be familiar with the processing and installation of ultra-high vacuum equipment, the ability to operate conventional turning, milling, drilling and other lathes, excellent hands-on skills, and master's degree or above;
  • 2)You are expected to possess skills related to mechanical design and processing, vacuum technology, etc., and be proficient in the use of CAD, Solidworks and other professional drafting software;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Engaging in the mechanical design and stable and reliable design required for lasers and large laser devices, and to participate in the design related to laser engineering;
  2. 2)Designing and processing laser equipment and auxiliary machinery needed in the construction of projects, etc. Writing and collating relevant materials.  
Software Engineer
Basic requirements:
  • 1)You are expected to have more than three years of relevant work experience in computer automation control programming, especially Labview-based laboratory hardware driver, data reading and automation control programming, proficiency in computer control, automation and human-machine interface development, and a good grasp of the design model of common software architecture;
  • 2)You are expected to be proficient in Labview, C++, Matlab, Python and other common software, with a master's degree or above;
  • 3)You are expected to possess good skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork;
Job Responsibilities:
  1. 1)Engaging in software control, data reading, remote monitoring and intelligent development required for lasers and large scientific devices;
  2. 2)Responsible for the interface between hardware and software in system development. Writing and collating relevant materials.
