On July 16, the Institute of Physics and Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory successfully held a high-performance laser industry innovation seminar in Dongguan, Guangdong. This event was based on the 2023 Enterprise Innovation Forum on Advanced Manufacturing hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology. With the theme of "Promoting the coordinated development of the high-performance laser industry and accelerating the construction of a manufacturing power", it aims to build an industry-university-research exchange and cooperation platform in the field of high-performance lasers, jointly discuss the research and application prospects of attosecond science and technology, and promote the high-quality development of advanced manufacturing. Relevant person in charge of the Enterprise Innovation Service Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, Liu Wei, deputy secretary of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Songshan Lake Party Working Committee, Academician Fang Zhong, director of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Wang Weihua, director of the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, and Li Zhiqiang, chairman of the Zhongguancun Industrial Technology Alliance Federation, attended the event and delivered speeches. The event was hosted by Feng Ji, secretary of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory.
In the keynote report session, Fan Dianyuan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, took the theme of "Artificial Intelligence Empowers Laser Manufacturing" and introduced the development and cases of laser intelligent manufacturing around the intelligentization of the laser industry; Fang Zhong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, took the title of "Attosecond Science and Technology" and gave a comprehensive interpretation of attosecond scientific research, introducing the important significance of studying attosecond lasers in solving major cutting-edge scientific problems; He Fei, deputy general manager of Wuhan Anyang Laser, took the title of "Application of Ultrafast Fiber Laser Technology" and shared the application and industry prospects of ultrafast lasers from the perspective of the enterprise; Zhu Jingtao, a professor at Tongji University, took the title of "Thin Film Optics and Technology for High-Performance Laser and Plasma Diagnosis" and shared cutting-edge technologies in the laser field.
In the high-end dialogue session, representatives of entrepreneurs from Xi'an Focus Technology, Beijing Kaiplin Optoelectronics, Beijing Zhuolai Laser, Wuhan Huari Precision Laser and other companies conducted in-depth exchanges and cutting-edge dialogues on the theme of "High-level scientific and technological self-reliance and the development of laser industry clusters."
Subsequently, the event held a signing ceremony for the landing of excellent laser technology achievements and a unveiling ceremony for the High-Performance Laser Industry Innovation Consortium. At the signing ceremony, Wei Zhiyi, a researcher at the Attosecond Science Center, and representatives of four companies including Xi'an Juguang Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement, hoping to jointly tackle core technologies in the development of high-performance lasers in the future and carry out in-depth cooperation around the common needs of industrial development. The High-Performance Laser Industry Innovation Consortium was jointly initiated by the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, domestic laser R&D and production companies, and scientific research institutes and universities with outstanding contributions and remarkable achievements in the field of ultrafast laser scientific research. It will rely on the Attosecond Science Center to strengthen the regional agglomeration and development of the high-performance laser industry, integrate the advantageous resources of the high-performance laser industry, promote industrial technology exchanges and cooperation, and help the deep integration of industry, academia, research and application, providing important support for the development of my country's high-performance laser industry.
The event was jointly organized by the China Association for Science and Technology Enterprise Innovation Service Center, the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory. More than 100 representatives from 14 universities and institutions including Peking University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Tongji University, as well as 66 representatives from laser companies, attended the event, and a total of 1.1 million people watched the live broadcast online. The event further expanded the industry influence of the Attosecond Science Center, promoted the exchange and cooperation of ultrafast optical science and technology, and unblocked the cooperation channels between industry, academia, research and application in the field of high-performance lasers, providing a broader space for the collaborative innovation and development of high-performance laser industry and ultrafast material science and technology.
